Casual Group Ride

We don’t really do the typical group rides. Our group rides don’t usually go for distance and they definitely don’t go for speed. Our group rides are more of a “meet up here, hopefully on your bike, and hang out with other people who also like bikes”.

Ride For Reading 2019

Ride For Reading 2019

Once again, we are calling all cyclists to join us in bringing the joys of reading and riding to the next generation of local riders and leaders!

On May 16, we will need cyclist volunteers to show up at the Sparks City Hall to start a leisurely two mile ride that will include picking up books from Ardmore Park and delivering them to Kate Smith Elementary School.

Road bikes, mountain bikes, fat bikes, cruisers, recumbents, and all other bikes are encouraged!

New, experienced, old, young, and all manner of riders are encouraged!

Bring your panniers, your back packs, your trailers, or any other method of transporting things so we can get all the donated books from the park to the school.

Fourth Friday – April 2019

Fourth Friday – April 2019

Join us for another Fourth Friday event where cyclists of all types get together to swarm Fourth Street (and maybe a little bit of Prater) on the fourth Friday of the month to show local businesses that bike lanes and bike friendliness can pay off.

Here’s the agenda for this month:

From the first stop to the last, there is about 4.7 miles of travel (here’s the route).

This event is free, except that you need to pay for your own drinks and food. This event is SUPER casual, so meet up or leave whenever you want. Schedule is subject to change.

This is a bike at your own risk event. You are responsible for your own safety (lights, helmets, etc.) and security (bike locks, etc.).

Join us for our fourth Fourth Friday (omg, it’s like our golden birthday) event where cyclists of all types get together to swarm Fourth Street (and maybe a little bit of Prater) on the fourth Friday of the month to show local businesses that bike lanes and bike friendliness can pay off.

This month, we’ll hit Big Ed’s Alley Inn for pre-dinner drinks (5-6 p.m.), Louis Basque Corner for dinner (6-8 p.m.), and we’ll give Dead Ringer Analog Bar a shot for after dinner merriment (8-9 p.m.). From the first stop to the last, there is only about 0.7 miles of travel.
