All stops are family friendly!

Bike parking is available, but we may fill it up.

From the first stop to the last, there is about 1.7 miles of travel (here’s the approximate route: https://goo.gl/maps/HAtdSCDbZGZmVd618).

This event is free, except that you need to pay for your own drinks and food. This event is SUPER casual, so meet up or leave whenever you want. Schedule is subject to change.

This is a bike at your own risk event. You are responsible for your own safety (helmets, lights, etc.) and security (bike locks, etc.). Remember to drink and ride responsibly.

Have suggestions for where would stop next month? Leave a comment!

Ride For Reading 2019

Ride For Reading 2019

Once again, we are calling all cyclists to join us in bringing the joys of reading and riding to the next generation of local riders and leaders!

On May 16, we will need cyclist volunteers to show up at the Sparks City Hall to start a leisurely two mile ride that will include picking up books from Ardmore Park and delivering them to Kate Smith Elementary School.

Road bikes, mountain bikes, fat bikes, cruisers, recumbents, and all other bikes are encouraged!

New, experienced, old, young, and all manner of riders are encouraged!

Bring your panniers, your back packs, your trailers, or any other method of transporting things so we can get all the donated books from the park to the school.

The ride route can be seen below:

Cyclofemme Ride & Social

Cyclofemme Ride & Social

Just like last year, we will be convening on Mother’s Day. Start your morning in the saddle, with one of three group rides that leave starting at 9:00 a.m., then return to mingle and connect with friends and resources at the after-ride social until 1:00 p.m. Enjoy the outdoor marketplace, the chance to introduce yourself to local cycling groups, complimentary mimosas, a live DJ, and fun & accessible cycling-related group activities!

This year, we are developing our theme around “the power of motherhood,” and in the weeks leading up to Cyclofemme we will be creating features of cyclists who help nurture and support Reno’s bike community, particularly youth. If you, or someone you know, is worthy of being a Cyclofemme Ambassador, please let us know your interest (this is not exclusive to mothers who have given birth)!
