Since the time when a few people got together and developed a “Bike to Work Day” committee for the Reno-Sparks area, we have been an organization that relied on working partnerships between local governments, local law enforcement, local health organizations, local businesses, local non-profits, individuals, and others. We truly have been an alliance and the work that we do wouldn’t be possible without our many partners. The slideshow below highlights many of the organizations and businesses that have helped make us successful in recent years.
As our organization has grown and evolved, we have found ourselves wanting to take a more active role in developing a stronger, more connected, and more visible network of cyclists, bicycle non-profits, bike shops and other bicycle-related businesses, and local government organizations. Our hope is to one day develop and implement a sort of bicycle summit for Washoe County that brings together various stakeholders and helps develop a united front to help make Washoe County a safer and more inclusive cycling community.
