Events & Activities

TMBA aims to deliver a wide range of activities that allow cyclists of all ages and abilities to make connections with each other and their city in a low-stress, non-competitive environment.

Bike Month

Starting in 2005, the Reno-Sparks area started celebrating a Bike to Work Day. This evolved from one day to seven and came to include biking to everything, not just work. In 2018, we realized that our partners had more than one week’s worth of celebrating to do and we organized the area’s first Bike Month!

Washoe County Tweed Ride

In 2018, TMBA worked with the City of Sparks and John Ascuaga’s Nugget to bring the Reno-Sparks area a family-friendly event that celebrates vintage bikes, vintage fashion, and local musicians. The event was so much fun, we decided to do it every year.

Fourth Friday Dinner Rides

Inspired by the improvement made on the 4th/ Prater Corridor by RTC, we started hosting dinner rides on the fourth Friday of the month. While we try to keep these as family friendly as possible, the pre- and post-dinner socials are occasionally held at locations limited to those 21 years or older. Keep an eye on our calendar or our facebook page to see where the next ride will go!

Draft Meetup

We partnered up with People for Bikes to bring Draft Meetups to the Reno-Sparks area. These are part of a nationwide series that taps into people who love bikes, biz, and beer. Speeches, announcements and conversations allow business leaders, product developers, tech innovators, advocates, artists, and more to share big ideas—all while enjoying delicious craft beer.
